However, though she reported their misdoings in the episode, "Rescue Knights: Pups Save the Baby Dragons", she still retains her antagonistic desire to be Queen (as seen in " Rescue Knights: Pups Save a Dozing Dragon").
Her anti-heroic side was seen once again in the Season 8 sub-series, Rescue Knights, where Claw and the Duke of Flappington were the main antagonists instead of her. She did stop when given a new tiara, much to her delight and gratitude towards the Princess, and participated in an airshow with the PAW Patrol as part of Skye's birthday present for the Princess. At the end, however, she did attempt to nab the Princess's necklace, meaning she hasn't completely gotten over her greed. She also saved the castle from floating away. However, in "Jet to the Rescue", she revealed a more anti-heroic side and was not happy to see the Princess in danger, showing that she has standards and actually does care for her owner. She is rather indifferent to the Princess and has no qualms with backstabbing her and/or taking advantage of her naivety. When she laughs, it usually ends with a snort. She tends to blame others for her mistakes, primarily directing her anger towards Busby, but will sometimes show affection afterwards. When they fail, she is punished by being temporarily locked up in her doghouse. However, her overconfidence is often her downfall, for she sometimes fails to foresee how her plans could go wrong. She is very ambitious and determined, refusing to give up on her goal to become the Queen of Barkingburg. She often pretends to be kind and polite around others, and sometimes uses her cuteness to trick others into getting what she wants. Sweetie is spoiled-rotten, often consumed by her greed and desire to be the next Queen of Barkingburg. The only thing she’s missing is opposable thumbs, although she’s worked around that too with the help of her highly sophisticated robotic arm/multi-tool! Personality On the surface, Sweetie seems to have it all - looks, charm, brains, and a best friend/squeaky toy named Busby who follows her everywhere. As a Westie, she’s smart, cute, and seemingly sweet, but underneath all that charm is one ruthless, tricky pup! Sweetie acts like a good doggie in front of others, but acting nice is just part of her grand scheme to steal all the power she can. Sweetie is a pup who knows what she wants …to be in charge! She lives in the castle with the Princess in the town of Barkingburg, and dreams of one day being Queen.
Sweetie uses Busby to trigger traps within the castle, control objects, and commandeer other vehicles (as seen in " Mission PAW: Pups Save the Royal Throne").Īs of " Mission PAW: Pups Save a Floating Royal Carriage", Arrby is her only pup/animal friend. She owns a robotic toy frog named Busby, who serves as her chew toy and minion. Tuck, Ella, and Al's names, however, aren't indicative of anything.Sweetie is a West Highland White Terrier that lives in the Barkingburg castle along with the Princess, the Earl, the butler, and the royal kitties, Henry and Elizabeth. Obviously, Robo-Dog's name refers to a robotic dog. Everest, Tracker is able to track down anything using his advanced hearing, Rex the dinosaur rescue pup is named after a Tyrannosaurus Rex,, Liberty's name refers to freedom and is named after the Statue of Liberty, and Coral is named the coral reef. The three recurring pups, Everest, Tracker, Rex, Liberty, and Coral, also have meaningful names Everest the snow rescue pup is named after the snowy Mt. Ryder is the only one to ride his vehicle on every mission, Marshall the fire dog is named after a fire marshal, Rubble is a construction pup, Chase the police dog's name refers to a police chase, Rocky the recycling pup has a name starting with "R" because of the "Three R's" (reuse, reduce, recycle), Zuma the water rescue pup's name is derived from the filming location of "Baywatch" (Zuma Beach, California), Skye the pilot's name refers to the sky, and Cap'n Turbot's surname (Turbot) is a type of fish. All of the major characters' names apply to their jobs.
